Hi folks, Just a quick update on more recent 3D developments. With some suggestions from Mario the normals calculations have been improved and models now look better in the file selector. There are some lighting issues which Mario is helping me to work on, and that can be seen in the images I have attached.
vrml1_smoothed_new_viewer.jpg: VRML1 model as seen in the preview in Mario's branch vrml1_other_viewer.jpg: same model seen with the view3dscene tool - KiCad has a much nicer result. vrml1_smoothed_old_viewer.jpg : same model but in the 3d_initial_merge branch. There's something wrong with the lighting and I don't know what yet, but we're working on it. - Cirilo
