Anyway, thanks for being willing to patch wx a little more, and to Mr. 
Staumbaugh for approving it.  I (somewhat grumpily) tried to get my quick and 
dirty fix, but really don't know what I am doing when it comes to wx and I 
think the patch was just a #ifdef block, very hacky.  Or something like that. 
May is too far back to remember :).  

I am glad someone is finally going to hopefully do it properly.   

I have been using a version of wx patched with my hacky patch for about a month 
or so, and haven't run into any issues.  So I think the mechanism (removing the 
& in the start of the button string) is pretty safe.
