kicad.org used to be a "domain for sale" landing page for a long while, but looks like in July it was acquired by DigiKey and made to redirect to http://digikey.com. Maybe it would be a good idea to ask them nicely if they could redirect it to kicad-pcb.org instead, or donate it to the project.
