Hi Simon, This tool doesn't add any new feature to the arc tool other than angle snap. If the lines are rectilinear and end on the grid, the angle snapping at least makes this a /little/ bit easier.
If you mean having arcs tangent to a line that "grow" out of the end of a line, that would not really be possible with the tool as it stands. However, the geometry manager stuff in this patch is intended to make it reasonably straight forward to implement new geometric construction processes, with a view to enabling exactly that kind of thing. On the other hand, if users are trying to make rounded corners, an "arc fillet" tool might work better for that particular use case? Also a rounded rect tool to quickly layout the most common (?) case. Ideally we'd have all the above, as no one tool will perfectly cover all cases.
