"Image" would be more accurate. Bitmap is a type of image file. Bitmap2Component can load bitmaps, pngs, jpegs, etc. Footprint is not entirely accurate either. Bitmap2Component can also generate symbol libraries, worksheet title block logos, and postscript files.
