Hello,
I'm trying to route a big PCB. Schematic contains more than 200 pages
(it's a special sensor with more than 140 lines and 100 columns and
each
sensor line takes a page.).
I can create a netlist without any difficulties, but pcbnew is totaly
inusable. I have tried Kicad 5.1.5 on Linux debian and 5.1.4 on NetBSD
9
with same result. NetBSD's version of kicad comes from pkgsrc.
Linux'one
was built with release flag (not débug).
I have opened pcbnew and opened netlist. And pcbnew takes 100% of a
CPU
for more that 3 hours :
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
86423 bertrand 20 0 1660688 556144 84336 R 99,5 3,6 270:23.64 kicad
Workstation has 16GB of RAM and doesn't swap. Netlist only contains
678
components.
I have tried to open netlist without DRC, same result. I don't
understand why pcbnew doesn't like this kind of netlist. In the past, I
have routed some PCB with more than 600 components without any
diffculties.
Any idea ?
Best regards,
JKB
