Hi Derek,
I cannot fully understand your problem, but I can tell you what has happened
to us a number of times:
1) Maybe you view the old gerber files. Delete all .pho files and retry.
2) Are you sure you have "only one" track of 0.058? Sometimes we have
connected 2 pads, then we have deleted a segment and there is still a piece
of truck under the new one.
3) Check the width of the trucks into pcbnew before retry in doing the gerber
files.
These points may seem foolish but believe me, sometimes the clearest solutions
are hard to see.
