It is a classic example where a group such as this should be able to come together for the better good of all. What types of components do you need to specify? What parameters do you need to describe your components (tolerance, text description, manufacturer, part number, ratings, temp, package, footprint, price, etc.) Do you have a preference for through-hole or surface mount? Do the components need to be hand-solderable (most likely)? As expressed previously, I may make an effort to find some time, and the results would be shared with both the Kicad and GoBox forums.
