Hi Dave

Like Danillo said all the information you need is in EEschema help
file chapter 5.7. If you have already already used other commercial
EDA packages like Protel, OrCAD, PADS, etc. you can easily relate to
but if not the help file is very useful for any beginner  and advance
user.
