Andy, There are many different types of 2.5mm jacks so you need to be a wee bit careful and just not take the first you find. Look at you favourite part dealers, check what's normally in stock and download the datasheet for that particular jack and make your own module. This isn't a jack-only advice, it goes for all hobby builders where the make of the component is less important than being able to buy it locally in small volumes. Pro's and semi-pro's in electronic design and PCB design tend to forget this as we have a component sourcer doing this for us... In some countries like the UK, Farnell follows the EU legislation and allows anyone that can pay to buy their products, in other EU countries they break EU law by claiming that only businesses or business account holders are allowed to buy from them. Luckily, here in the horrible and commercialised Anglo-Saxon world ( UK ), money is the king... and we can buy anywhere as long as we have plastic money and buy for more than £20 or so... I guess it's the same situation in the US. Here in the UK, I get the delivery within one working day after order! //Dan, M0DFI
