Hi all, First of all: Many thanks to all those folks who did all the programming, documentation and testing of KiCAD: You created a very useful design tool and I can imagine it will get a standard int the future! I am currently designing a 4 layer PCB for a amateur radio project (www.uwsdr.net)
Now to my problem: I use a DIN41621 connector/board combination from the 19INCH library. When routing with DRC on, I can easily connect the pins of the connector on copper/component layers but NOT on layer L1 and L2. When editing the pad, I can only choose between Copper/Comp. Does anyone know how to do that ? I assume wire pads are basically like vias -> all layers can be connected electrically ? The inner layers L1 and L2 are used only for GND / VCC in my design. currenty I helpp myself by creating a small track on copper/comp. side and the add a via that goes to layer L1/L2. BTW has anyone seen a 3D shape of a right-angled DIN 41621 connector ? Many Thanks! Tobias DG3YEV
