I use Ubuntu 7.10, and I have installed the "PCB Designer" program from Synaptic. It is very easy to make a PCB spiral coil and also coils for planar cores. But it is a problem, if the core is not used with separate PCB's but is intended used on the "main" board and not just small PCB's for the ferrite core itself. It would be very nice, if we had an interface where a formula for the track geometry could be specified along with the track width, maybe as a component in the module editor. But even allowing arcs to be drawn on a copper layer would be a great help. Erik
