I just took a quick look at the source code ( void DRC::testUnconnected() ), but I do not think I want to go through the hassle of trying to compile KiCAD under my OS (Windows XP); although I am tempted to add some diagnostics to the source code, because the "unconnected pads" issue is somewhat annoying and I would love to see an answer.
