Hi,

I am designing a pin to pin adaptor so that I can program one component
with the programming device available in the lab. The pcb itself is very
simple, but I am having trouble with adding ground planes on both side
of the PCB :

I chose to use trough-holes terminal strips (such as SAMTEC TSW series)
to plug the PCB with the programming device. Since those can only be
practically soldered on one side of the board, I tried to modify pin
array footprints so that the DRC prevents me from connecting them on the
component layer. I first unchecked the corresponding layer box in each
pin property page. It went perfectly well till I added ground planes on
both layers of my PCB. Since my new module has no pin on the component
layer, pcbnew does not enforce clearance values and fill the pins with
the ground plane. I set the component layer pins back and re did the
ground plane but with no changes.

Can you help me ?

Thanks in advance

M Melchiore
