Look in my site www.reniemarquet.cjb.net page Espaco Kicad, have all footprints migrated from Eagle by Dmitri (library.oshec.org) reworked, many pins orientation, length corrected, duplicates removed, etc. The files in .brd format, to make .mod , use my utility Mod2Mod or, open the file in PcbNew go to menu "FILE/Archive Footprints/Create footprint archive" and save the .mod file.
