Hi, I need some free spots on the pcb edge in order to solder the pcb edge to a metal box.
In order to achieve this, I created a pad component with one pin, which is connected to GND, and a corresponding pad shaped module. So far so good. It is looking all right on the board, but there is no exclusion of the pad on the solder stop mask. What do I have to do to prevent the solder stop mask from covering the pad? And: Is there a way to add several vias to that GND pad component? So far KiCAD refuses to add vias to the pad except for the one connection point. Thanks, Tom
