Hey,

So i already asked this on the gentoo forums:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-714179.html
Essentially, my question/need is as follows. Nowadays, there are good
standards for a lot of files, among which vector image standards (for
example svg) and mathematical formulas (TeX). I haven't yet found such a
standard for circuit diagrams suitable for webpages. On wikipedia, the
guys save all those diagrams as plain png or svg files
( http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Circuit_diagrams ), but I don't
think that's an optimal solution. More importantly, those files can't be
loaded by an eCAD trivially.

The guys from the gentoo forums suggested you guys are pretty much
leading the FOSS part of electrical circuitry software, I thought maybe
you knew a bit about this already? Is there any work/development on a
circuit diagram image file format suitable for webpages? Should/can
there be such a standard at all?

Thanks,
tulcod.
