Hello I'm a new KiCAD user (in fact I'm pretty new at PCB design) and I'm going through the tutorial "KiCad Step by Step Tutorial" by David Jahshan. I'm stuck at the place where you do the Fill Zone on the copper layer. I laid it out pretty much like the tutorial but my fill is a bit different. Specifically, it won't fill out to the whole area I draw the rectangle. I'm not certain how far the tutorial drew it's rectangle but whatever I do the fill will only be a certain area. In fact, the fill will always be the SAME area regardless of how I large I draw the rectangle. It seems to be confined to the area of MYCONN3 to the left, right and bottom and U1 at the top. I noticed this because by fill won't go higher than the pins 5-8 side of U1, whereas the tutorial fills that area plus a few mils above it (referring to figure in the .pdf).
I'm know I'm new at the PCB design but I'm a bit baffled by this... Thanks for any help you can give. jom
