I created a new component and placed 4 copies in my schematic. After annotating, the components are labeled #U1 - #U4 and do not appear in the netlist when I run Cvpcb. I am just trying KICAD for the first time so I am totally unfamiliar. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
