Yes.

There are two ways. Download Kicad native libraries from webpages or download 
and convert Eagle libraries.

You can also make your own library symbols and modules.

In a sense - yes. But only as part of documents or reports you are writing. 
Linux can do a lot of conversions and Windows needs Ghostscript to be able to 
convert files.

You can't "do" anything with the files after conversion. It's just for 
documentation purposes.

KiCad can write ( plot ) Postscript and PDF files. 


I really recommend you to spend time with the library and module editors. 
These two tools are very important when introducing new components.

Also, please share the new symbols so others can use them as well. This is the 
reason you have any symbols to start with so please continue sharing.
