The edit drawing function should bring up a box giving you the start and endpoints of the line etc. You can modify the numbers in the boxes to shift the lines. Make sure you are in the edges layer When drawing the outline, I find its a good idea to switch to the large cursor, and also make a lot of use of the space bar, pressing space will zero the co-ordinates so you can see when you get back to a zero point. Using the cursor keys rather than the mouse also makes things a lot easier as you don't "wander" as easily.
