Hello,

It seems CVPCB will not work with other netlist formats, for example
when using the PADS plugin (I must generate PADS netlists) it responds
with "incompatible file format".

Does this mean I'd have to make all new libraries where footprints are
hardcoded into the footprint field instead of using the filter function?
In other words one part for SO14, another for 14TSSOP, and a third for
DIP14?

Doing it by hand is very tedious because for example on a six-segment
part such as the 74HC14 the PADS netlist will list "unknown" unless I
enter SO14 piece by piece for all six devices in a package. It is not
enough to just do it for the A-device.

If new libraries are the only way to get around this I'd appreciate a
hint on how to store them so Kicad "likes it" and always finds them. Put
them all in the same library directory where the Kicad standard
libraries are? Make a separate directory and (somehow) tell Kicad to
only look there?
