As well as what Robert said, a couple of tips.

Each on the main programs has a pretty good help file, and there is also
a tutorial in the documents directory. It's also in the flil list here.

Trak the time to work through the tutorial a few times, especially when
you get to the point of drawing your own components and footprints. it's
not hard, but like many things it takes a bit of practise.


Open up CVpcb, and click on the 3rd icon from the right "display
footprints list documentation"

Print this out, as it's very handy to have while you are selecting which
type of footprint to attach to which component.
