I have written some Python scripts to work with Kicad schematics.  One of
the reason I wrote them is that, when I was first using Kicad, I was
accidentally doing silly things with eeschema on a regular basis.

There is some DRC functionality there that can find some things that
eeschema doesn't.  You can take a look at kipy.org, or if that seems
overwhelming, send me your project and I will take a look at it.
