Hi,
I have just downloaded the files for a 100k resistor, and used
it without problem in my library. My library means that I have added a
user directory (where I put my libraries) in the library path.
Regards,
Jean-Paul

3DView
OK, a solution, I emailed Renie Marquet and he has made all the beautifully
rendered 3D components available on his website.
Renie's reply Navigate to:
http://www.reniemar <http://www.reniemarquet.cjb.net/bibliotecas.html>
quet.cjb.net/bibliotecas.html
look the files added in 12/04/2009, located in botton of page.
Download the files cap_elet_blue.zip, cap_elet_l_blue.zip, cap_elet_ora.zip,
res_horizontal.zip and
res_vertical.zip
Unpack to kicad location ..\kicad\share\modules\packages3d
(This is /usr/share/kicad/modules/packags3d in Linux and most likely
c:\Program Files\kicad\share\modules\packages3d in windows)
To use the new modules in PcbNew, double click in the module to change, in
properties go to 3D setings, in box 3D shape, point to new file the you
donload (resistors have one object for each value),
repeat that procedure for others components you need change. Note : keep the
defaults setings of another fields (offset, scale etc.).
Hopefully this should work.
I'm having a little trouble as I have unpacked the zip files in correct
location but for some reason kicad fails to see the new 3D
components and I'm not sure why yet.
Not sure if I have to use library functions to import the 3D components. If
anyone gets this working please post on the forum.
