[kicad-users] newb question - revising an existing schematic/pcb after pcb is layed out?

Is there a way to make revisions to a existing schematic and then make a 
corresponding incremental change to an existing pcb?  From the docs, it appears 
that doing this requires starting the pc layout from scratch.
