Hi.

New user to KiCad (V20090216-final on XP), but very long term user of old DOS
based Orcad, for schematic creation etc.

First impressions, nice. But frustrating to use after the intuitive interface
of Orcad. KiCad is similar, but different enough to drive me nuts!

Fumbling arround in the dark as it were, I can find and place components on the
schematic OK, with quite a few false starts (too set in the ways of Orcad.)

One thing I can't pursuade it to do, is use the "other" parts of a multi part
device (TL072) for instance. That is, even if I select the B part (that is
shown correctly in the part browser) it places the A part on the drawing, where
of course all the pinout's are wrong, and you can't seem to edit that.

After half an hour failing to find out how (the Wiki and Yahoo's search were
not revealing) here I am. So, what am I doing wrong, why can't I get it to
place the B part.

Also, how the "BLEEEEEEP"! do I stop it from automaticaly moving the mouse
cursor towards the menu, it's realy P'ing me off.

Cheers.

Dave B.
