As of a couple of years ago, IBIS for Gnucap was nearly complete
(that's IBIS-3), but as of now it is frozen in that state
because there are no free layout programs that support Gnucap.

The biggest need is for a path from layout to something Gnucap
can read. So, I am asking for help ....... I am looking for a
volunteer to write a Gnucap "language plugin" that will read
and write Kicad files.

These language plugins will become part of a general translation
package, which ultimately will provide other translations too.
gEDA and Eagle are also high priority. When they are done, we
will have a means of migrating files between systems.

If someone steps up to do this, I will revive the Gnucap IBIS
code, which will provide the capability for full SI simulation.
