That seems to be the same valves.lib from the SVN distro.  Yes, it has three 
separate parts, but the filament isn't the traditional shape.  I can't modify 
it in the library editor as the editor gets confused and globally deletes 
shapes.

But worked great editing the library source directly in notepad!  Once I popped 
up the format docs, it was pretty easy and got exactly what I wanted by 
changing the unit numbers from zero (global) to what I needed.

Apparently, you can't seem to modify the global aspect of a shape after the 
shape is created.  That option doesn't seem to be readable or writable to the 
property dialog.
