I am brand new to KiCad and already find it easier to use than Eagle. I have created my first symbol for and SDRAM chip and clicked on the "check mark" icon. The report told me I had a number of pins that were not "on-grid". Can anyone tell me what the negative impact is for a pin not being on-grid and also help me with tips on how to make a pin be on-grid? I had assumed that the pins would automatically snap to the grid.
As a comment from a newbie I would like to recommend that the default line width not be set to 0.000. I spent hours trying to figure out what I was doing wrong just trying to make the rectangle for my symbol. Thank you for this community.
