I have a great appreciation for Jean-Pierre that he was able to release KiCAD to the public domain; it is a great software. Saying that, I have one problem; I cannot add or alter HotKey assignment. I've followed proper direction, but to no avail. It seems that eeschema.key is not read, even I was able to edit this file right from the menu & it looks that KiCAD is pointing to the right file. When I reload hotkeys or restart eeschema the new file is not changed. However the file is changed (to default) if I recreate this hotkey file from the (Re)create menu.
Am I doing something wrong? I appreciate your help. Also, I'm missing the ability to run some simple script, so ,for example, I can edit several components at once. Even with this shortcoming, it is a great software. Thanx Jean.
