What about simply changing the layer that these discontinuous lines are on, say to one of: Drawings, Eco1, Eco2, or Comments? I think you can rename the outputted gerber file from this special layer, and explain what's up to the board manufacturer. It may be easy enough for him to logically combine the two machining layers later at time of programming. Dick
