The two obvious locations for such material would be in the file section here, and also on the main kicad site.
Also, for getting started there is already fairly extensive docs for creating libs and modules within the main eeschema and pcbnew help files. They are more than a bit dated, but the process is similar enough that it does not matter than much. The very old tutorial also works through a couple of simple examples. The biggest issue with modules is translating the sometimes rather vague dimension info on some of the various data sheets!
