The Sound and the Fury by William
>Faulkner for
>English. It was spectacular.

I just started A Light in August by Faulkner for Lit. class. It's okay,
but a little redundant in some of the imagery and diction. His
descriptive phrases are interesting with some of the mixtures of
adjectives used to depict people. It's kind of nice but kind of annoying
that he creates or makes up new words in his book; I believe that it is
possible to go too far in the creative process.
Brave New World by Alduous Huxley is a good book. I LOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE
satire, so I just ate that book up.
Graham Greene's "The Power and the Glory" is also another good book.

Here's one of my favorite things to quote from Huxley's "Brave New World
Revisited" (it's kind of a response he wrote to his own book), "The
really hopeless victims of mental ilness are to be found among those who
appear to be most normal." Just a little something I thought I'd share
with all of you. Maybe this will spark some conversation.

Does anyone else think that Winnie the Pooh is communist?!
