The ISP is the company or computer that one uses to connect to the
internet. Right now, I am using Juno Web. It is free for the first
month, so I am trying it. The problem is when I try to send mail, Juno
wants to take control of the e-mail. I think I have found a way around
that, but sometimes my e-mail doesn't go through. Currently, I am using
Netscape to write my e-mail from my regular address (Kobayashi). If I
am connected to Juno with a regular connection, Juno will not allow me
to send mail with Netscape. The only way I can send mail with the addy
of Kobayashi and not the Juno addy is to open a "click-through"
connection from Juno. They show you some advertisement and ask you is
you would like to connect to the internet to see the complete ad. In
that case, Juno connects but does not open. Hence, I can send e-mail
from netscape . . . I think.

I have asked for the University to give me an account and a dial-up
connection. I should have that sometime next week . . . {scot hopes}.

We will see . . .
