Thank you for all of your comments and praise . . . though I was given
all that I have within me. Here is a poem that one of my dearest
friends wrote for me . . .

and I should have another sometime soon . . . btw, what did we do with
the story ideas? I started on another section to my island story but
got distracted by my work and studies.

as for me, I just moved to Columbia, Missouri USA and I am working for
the University here. I am 18 and have skipped through life like a slick
stone thrown over a smooth, cool pond.

 . . . and my favorite scripture is Isa. 41:13 . . .

---------------------------------
There he stands
Across the crowded room.
I gaze for a while,
Not knowing what to say.
My thoughts all twisted...
Every time I try....
Try to think of something to say.

Then suddenly...
He looks right at me,
Our eyes meet.
My heart begins to beat fast...
My stomach drops.
Still searching...
Searching for the perfect thing to say.

I take a moment to gather myself.
I take a deep breath,
Finding courage within.
Just to approach this guy.....
This guy that caught my eye.

I look up,
Hoping to look deep into his eyes,
As I approach from the other side of the room.
Yet...
He is gone.
Nowhere in sight.
Again my heart starts to beat faster...
My stomach drops even lower in angst.
Where did he go,
I think to myself.
Will I see him again?

My eyes wonder frantically around
My mind still searching for words.
If I should find him,
What do I say.....

Suddenly.....
I hear the most amazing sound...
A voice, like an Angel himself...
The voice says....
Hello!
And I look at him...
straight into his eyes.. smiling.
And I think to myself.
Wow, I never knew that a simple "hello" could mean so much.
All this time I had been searching for the perfect thing to say....
And all I needed was Hello.

dear Scott
That was quite the peachy poem! Spacoli was right when he told me you
werea god-gifted writer. Of course he had plenty of other good things to
say about you....he thought very highly of you and so do I.
2Pe 3:18 Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
