Hi Alvaro,
The current windows installation of the KIM Platform most probably does not
support
Windows Vista. That suport will be available in the next public release.
For now there are two ways to work around this problem:
Approach 1:
- From the web-installation page download the "Other Java-enabled Platforms"
installation
- Follow the instructions to execute that installation package. After
starting - it will show
the same GUI and will perform the same steps.
If that installer fails too then try:
Approach 2:
- Install the KIM platform on other computer system with Windows XP or 2003
OS.
- Copy the entire folder to the computer system with Windows Vista
- Then go through the steps of the System Documentation's "Configuration"
section.
That is mainly to adjust the KIM, JDK and Tomcat installation paths
and also to remake "KIM Web UI" installation in the Tomcat folders.
