* Job Description: The candidate for this position will fill a front-end developer position on a development team and will work alongside several other highly skilled technologists. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and modifying a 10-year old user facing application. Languages required are: 1. VB.NET 2. VB 6.0 Job Requirements: 5 years working with client server computer systems. • 5 years user facing application development • Troubleshooting • Good communication and documentation skills. * Duration: 1 year Location: NJ Rate : Open Level of experience: Senior Scope of Work & Assignments: The candidate for this position will fill a front-end developer position on a development team and will work alongside several other highly skilled technologists. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and modifying a 10-year old user facing application. Languages required are listed above. •Applications that must be supported are written in VB6 and VB.NET and run on the user's workstation. •He/she must have a solid background working on a development team dedicated to maintaining a user facing application. •He/she must have a solid background working in a formalized SDLC process. Requirements analysis, effort estimates, component development, unit testing, defect resolution, and production support will be part of the job responsibilities. •He/she will be working in a highly motivated team atmosphere and will therefore need to be willing to learn from others and also be willing to share knowledge. •The candidate must be capable of assessing complex situations and quickly arriving at technically sound solutions. •He/she must be able to communicate with individuals of varying technical expertise as they will have to interact with other developers, system testers and business analysts.
