Position: Data Architect* ** *Rate:- Open* *Location:Pleasonton, CA Duration: 4+ months *** Job Description: Will be responsible for developing and managing the Data Architecture element of the overall Enterprise Architecture, defining data architecture standards and ensuring that design of all information provision systems development is consistent with Enterprise architecture. Will primarily focus on data architecture standards and ensure that design of all responsible systems development is consistent with Enterprise architecture. Will collaborate with a team of Subject Matter Experts, Vendors, Technical Project Managers, etc to effectively deliver projects & initiatives and will require the capability to work in large cross-functional teams. Will contribute to enterprise-wide strategic planning, technical governance for information exchange & harvesting, as well as assist in managing tactical responses. *Essential Skills: * Bachelor's degree required, preferably with emphasis in computer sciences, Information Systems, Engineering, HealthCare or Medical Informatics. At least 8 years of proven hands-on experience as Data Architect with strong background in Data warehousing *Solid experience in:* Metadata standards Data modeling ERD and Dimensional Use of modeling tools e.g. Erwin Data warehousing architecture, physical databases and performance tuning Oracle Metadata Tools like Rochade Excellent problem resolution and analysis skills. Must be able to present complex data/concepts in a clear, understandable, and meaningful way for reporting to upper management. Strong written and verbal communications skills, including effective meeting management; prepare and present (PowerPoint/Visio); documentation templates for various procedures when needed. Good analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Able to work well as part of a team as well as be self-motivated. Must be open to flexible work schedule to remain in-step with project and organizational needs.
