Our client, located in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a .Net, C# ArcMap
Extensions Developer for an immediate contract position. Details
include:
Applicant should have 4+ years of experience designing ArcGIS
applications. Candidate should also demonstrate strong business
analysis skills, and end-to-end RUP 4+1software development life-cycle
knowledge.
WRITTEN AND VERBAL CONTACT
• Works with a wide variety of stake holders including operational,
technical and business managers
• Communicates between technical staff and user communities
EDUCATION
• B.S. degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent
experience.
EXPERIENCE
• Experience with ArcMap system and application design and
development including computer experience described below
• Solid understanding of Geospatial concepts (i.e.,
projections, raster vs vectors, ArcGIS Services, etc)
• Ability to apply Geospatial technologies to business
applications
• Solid understanding of the software lifecycle, requirements
analysis, design, and testing and experience with RUP techniques
• Knowledgeable in OOA/OOD and Design Patterns
• Experience developing and providing inputs to project
proposals and statements of work (SOW)
COMPUTER EXPERIENCE
• Proficient in web development technologies including C# .NET (3.0
technologies including WCF, WPF, and WF), IIS Configurations and
management, SQL Server, and advanced APIs.
• 3-5 yrs experience developing with Web (ASP.NET) applications;
proficient developing with .NET technologies, preference to .NET 3.0
or above experience
• 3-5 years experience with object-oriented development in the role of
a “coder” on large/complex project(s). Development experience should
include: C#. .NET, ASP/JavaScript Web Development, and Web Services
Extensive experience developing using the following ESRI 9.3 ArcGIS
technologies & APIs:
• ArcGIS Desktop Extension Development
• ArcGIS Server Development
• ArcGIS ImageServer
Experience with Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards
Experience and understanding of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)
technologies, services, and capabilities (WMS, WFS, WCS, etc).
Experience with SQL Server database (2005/2008) and SQL Report
writing
