Need: AIX Admin
Location: Raleigh, NC
3 months – 12 months (based on performance)
*$35/hr Corp to Corp {MAX}*
*This is a deliver position ... installation and configuration support for
new systems primarily including build, testing and documentation activities.

*Skills required:** ***
*
Installation,* maintenance,* configuration* and day-to-day support of *AIX
v5 systems*
Experience supporting both medium *(p550/570) and large (p595) pSeries
systems *
*AIX v5 performance* and tuning exposure and experience is a plus.
*AIX HACMP* hands-on exposure and experience (more than one year) is
required
pSeries LPAR definition hands-on exposure and experience (more than one
year) required
experience with *pSeries and AIX in* an *EMC SAN* environment strongly
preferred
experience in AIX v5 network configuration and maintenance methods
(including NIM) required
*Other preferred qualifications:*
Experience supporting an IBM - SAP installation and infrastructure a strong
plus
Experience with *VERITAS NetBackup* and *ADIC tape* libraries strongly
preferred
Experience with *BMC/Patrol* a plus
Experience working in a validated environment (the system is a *SAP
implementation* that is validated as per Good Manufacturing Practices) a
strong plus
Experience in installation, management, support of a large *EMC-based
SAN*environment strongly preferred
Exposure to and working experience with *EMC tools SRDF*, replication
manager and TimeFinder in an AIX/EMC Symmetrix environment strongly
preferred
Installation and system administration responsibilities will include (but
are not limited) to:
hardware and OS installation and verification activities involving *AIX on
IBM pSeries servers*
software installation and verification activities associated with *VERITAS
Netbackup* (server and client), Macro4 UNIQ, BMC/Patrol and other program
products
support activities associated with business critical, 24x7 support of an
SAP-based system running within an *HACMP AIX* environment
*UNIX (AIX)* account administration
documentation in the area of installation, support and testing activities
