*Position:* *Database Developer/Administrator* *Location:* New York, NY *Duration:* 12 Months Please note that this position is only required 3 days a week. *SCOPE OF SERVICES * This consultant will be responsible for: - Designing and developing new applications using Access, Visual Basic, .NET and JAVA script. - Developing requirements documents by interacting with end users to meet their custom software development needs. - Supporting and modifying existing production database applications written in Visual Basic, Access, Crystal Reports and .NET. - Maintaining and administering the ESRI software environment including applying software and service pack updates. - Developing and maintaining SQL code, including queries, store procedure, and triggers. Designing and implementing Databases schemas. - Managing server side issues with SQL stored procedures, CDBC, application performance, etc. Ensuring appropriate security level on SQL Production, QA & development servers. - Ability to configure and tune high traffic SQL Servers. - Day to day Database administration including adding users / load data, set up and maintaining replication. *Job Description: *This position entails highly technical responsibilities in database administration, including planning, designing, configuring, installing, testing, troubleshooting, integrating, performance monitoring, maintaining, enhancing, security management, and support of complex database systems.** Mandatory Requirements: · *An Associates degree in technical area.* · *Minimum of 2 years in Hardware: General Desktop PC Knowledge, General Compaq Server peripheral knowledge.* · *Minimum of 2 years in Software: MSSQL Server and DB Administrator utilities, MS Access, Visual Basic, .NET , Crystal Reports, JAVA and JAVA Script, MS Project, * · *Any of these please indicate which one.
