Short-term goal: full-gui, Ruby-based system auditing
Medium-term goal: Ruby-based Control Panel (for Ubuntu)
Long-term goal: a small distro that uses Ruby instead of python. Ubuntu relies heavily on python.
I believe this is very feasible due to a lot of available GTK, QT, etc.. bindings for Ruby.
If anybody already did experimentation/projects almost related to this section on Ruby, I'd love to hear about it :). Working on Ruby for the purpose of using RoR is very good. But look at it this way, it would be great if a full-fledged distro is generated solely using Ruby on a lot of things instead of python.
