It's for performance optimation purposes in the sense that searching and retrieval of certian recordings consumes high i/o operations while calls are live (plus kamulo pa siyag save kada call) e.g. 5 QA's and 4 TL's are monitoring/searching/locating for certain call voice recordings at the same time, not to mention these tasks consumes high processing and memory resources for httpd alone while calls are still active.
