there are people here who are very familiar with XUL development :D

You can create your own XUL apps with a little xml and javascript.

I stopped tinkering with it 4 years ago, so cant help you much in that department, I was so noob that the only way I could deploy or run my app was by browsing the xul file via a mozilla browser. Obviously, I didnt get that far with my xul development.

You can start with your XUL tinkering by visiting xul planet website or the developer
section of the mozilla website.

If you want even prettier eye candies you can try Konfabulator(now known
as Yahoo widgets), you can create you own apps also with XML and scripting.
Take note: Konfabulator dev is not XUL dev.

As to why your IE can browse a chrome-URL for browser.xul, I really dont know.
My IE here cant even understand a chrome-url. Did you add a new mime-type
or extension mapping to your IE for xul files? Or nakalink ba ang imong IE
sa firefox directory nimo in such a way that it could locate the browser/content
directory within the browser.jar file in your firefox directory?
