The "hermit" image now belongs to the premise on being exposed to Unix, which by the way is considered as the grand daddy of almost all PC-based OSes (DOS, BSD, Windows, Minix, etc..). I think Novell is trying to illustrate that you do not have to be a "hermit" or an oldie, or a super-uber-geek nowadays to use Linux, let alone its own SuSE Linux Desktop.
