How old are the ethernet cards? I seem to have encountered this type of
problem and I changed NICs and it worked again.

Good day to all!

I have a question regarding ethernet. First of all I'm using Cent0S 4

Scenario:
-in my network it just happen we are using 2 networks that is 192.168.0and
192.168.1
-in my box I got 2 NIC in different
eth0 IP 192.168.1.2
eth1 IP 192.168.0.2
and they are connected to 1 main switch.

Problem:
This setup was working for years but suddenly it just happen now both ethX
cannot run simultaneously.

Question:
1. how I can setup in one ethX with 2 IP IP 192.168.1.2 and IP 192.168.0.2that
client PC can ping on both IP
2. if Question 1 is not possible how can I set it up again with 2 ethX in
diff IP? BTW- I tried changing my NIC and as well removing in the switch but
no luck.

Weird thing:

Sometimes both eth0 and eth1 is working but I cannot ping both on them.

Home someone can help me.

Kutch
