Its not actually a question of "how much", rather the question is "when".

Jeff Han's project is still largely under prototype stage however undergoing
rigorous testing. Microsoft has announced Surface, however still implies
that the product will be available in 2-3 years o_0? Another unstable
product if shipped.

If you can still remember in the early days, keyboard and mice costs
thousands. Now, keyboards and mice costs from Php150 to Php350 for a
standard non-fancy version. Now, LCD screen prices are going down also from
Php20K to 8K-10K.

IT equipment adoption from research/prototype to mainstream use takes about
30+ years. The keyboard was developed in the 1950s, the mouse in the 1960's.
The keyboard became standard peripheral to the PC for mainstream use in the
1980's (30 years), the mouse became common by 1990's (30 years) with the
arrival of the GUI on the common PC desktop.

The multitouch screen was conceptualized and developed relentlessly from
1970's-1980's, with a workable prototype by 1984. That means, the era of the
multitouch for the desktop PC will not be far off.

If you want to know where I got my figures, I consulted Dr. Google ^_^//
