Introduction
The International Open Source Network (IOSN) together with the UP
Manila National Telehealth Center (UNDP Centre of Excellence for
Free/Open Source Software in ASEAN+3) is organizing a Linux
Professionals Institute (LPI) Community Certification Examination (LPI
101 and LPI 102).
The Linux Professional Institute (www.lpi.org) is a non-profit
organization geared to provide professional certification for the
Linux Community. This would be an excellent opportunity for working
professionals, students and interested individuals to get certified at
a low cost. Details follow:
* Date of certification: 27th June 2007
* Time: LPI 101: 8:00AM - 9:30AM LPI 102: 10:00AM - 11:30AM
(please be at the examination venue 30 minutes before the published
time)
* Venue: UP Diliman
* Proctor: Prof. Rommel Feria
* Length of each examination: 90 minutes
We are looking at an initial group of a MAXIMUM of 30 people in the
initial certification examination.
To register for the certification, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(cc [EMAIL PROTECTED]) and include the following information:
1. Full Name
2. Contact Number
3. Certification program you wish to take
There are a range of certifications you can choose to certify against.
Please view http://www.lpi.org/en/lpic.html for more information.
We will organize more than one exam on the same day if there is
sufficient demand (eg, 101 followed by 102 if there are sufficient
people wanting to take 102).
Do note that in order to encourage certification, the payment for
certification is a bare minimum covering organizational costs only.
For your information.
Good luck!
Marvin
