I personally use Squirrelmail since I only need purely email on top of
Postfix+Dovecot. Roundcube is also a nice suggestion. Horde is also
something to look into.

One thing to note is when do you need it? How confident are you that you can
deploy it in time? For me, Squirrel is the faster to deploy by far without
using any database at all.

Oh, before I forget, for enterprise-class collaboration with more features
than Scalix, you check out Zimbra (http://www.zimbra.com/)
